SILVER DUNE LUPINE (Lupinus chamissonis) has silver-gray leaves with fragrant lavender/purple flowers that bloom from April to June. 
They are a critical food plant for the Morro blue butterfly (Plebjus icariodes moroensis).
This overlook area has been called Bush Lupine Point for many years.
