Dogs in the Elfin Forest?

Are dogs allowed in the Elfin Forest?

Dogs are welcome in the Elfin Forest provided that they are on leash. Leashes, no longer than 6 feet, are required by both San Luis Obispo County and California State Parks.

There are Mutt Mitt dispensers at every entrance to the Elfin Forest so that you can pick up after your pets. Please return Mutt Mitts to the trash receptacles at the entrances - there is no paid staff to return them for you.

Please note: the Elfin Forest has resident coyotes. They are occasionally seen on, or next to the boardwalk. They have not closely approached dogs on leash or their owners.
